Recruitment/Posting Title Assistant/Associate PROFESSOR
Department GSAPP - Clinical Psychology
Salary Open
Posting Summary

The Clinical Psychology Department in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for two tenured/tenure-track appointments for Fall 2022. Both appointments will be at the Assistant or Associate level, but rank may be negotiable for exceptional applicants. The successful candidates will have research and teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas: diversity sciences, clinical interventions research for underserved populations, child/family interventions, and dissemination and implementation sciences.

GSAPP is one of the highest ranked and most respected Psy.D. programs in the country, with an impressive faculty known for leadership in the field. It is nationally recognized for its excellence in the education and training of professional psychologists and the clinical research of its faculty. GSAPP seeks to recruit faculty with expertise in mental health matters that will help prepare professionals equipped to address complex mental health concerns and improve access to mental health care for diverse communities representing the underserved. The new faculty members will benefit from established links: to GSAPP's School Psychology Psy.D. Department; and to related, non-GSAPP units within Rutgers University-New Brunswick, including the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program in the School of Arts and Sciences; the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research; University Behavioral Health Care; and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

GSAPP is committed to equity, inclusion, and supporting diversity across the school and faculty across all dimensions of diverse identities and circumstances; we encourage applications from all competitive applicants, with attention to encouragement of applicants from under-represented groups. Applicants should have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field. Candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an active, extramurally funded research program, teach at the graduate level, and contribute to clinical training. Competitive candidates will demonstrate established expertise in mental health that integrates the perspective of the communities we serve and whose work with the underserved intersects with other disciplines including public health, education, social work and medicine. Salary, start-up funds, and other considerations will be consistent with Rutgers' commitment to recruit and retain exceptional individuals.

Review of applications will begin on August 1, 2021 and continue until the two positions are filled.

Applicants are welcome to contact Search Committee Chair Shireen Rizvi, Ph.D., with questions at slrizvi@gsapp.rutgers.edu.
