The Department of Library and Information Science seeks part-time lecturers for its master's program in Information who are experienced UX/UI designers with a passion for teaching students the skills to be UX/UI designers. Successful candidates should have expertise in the following areas: User-Centric Design Research/Design Thinking:
Research practices;
Qualitative and quantitative;
User need identification;
Interview/focus group;
Contextual Inquiry;
Survey/questionnaire;
Personas/storyboarding/scenario; and
Affinity diagramming Prototyping:
Sketching;
Storyboarding;
Journey map;
User flow diagrams;
Paper prototyping;
Wireframing;
Hi-fidelity prototyping; and
Rapid prototyping User Interface Evaluation:
Heuristic metric creation;
Think aloud; and
Experimental design. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
A bachelor's degree is required, a master's or doctoral degree is preferred. Three to five years of field experience is preferred. Professional work experience is typical for our part-time faculty. |

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply.
