This position will involve opportunities in three main areas: First, the postdoctoral associate will have the opportunity to work on several NIMH-funded studies that focus on using technology (e.g., smartphone-based real-time monitoring, wearable physiological monitors) to predict and prevent suicidal thoughts and behaviors among adolescents and adults. Based on applicant interest and experience, roles on these projects will include study coordination, data collection/management, data analysis, and acting as a study therapist. Details on specific studies can be found at https://kleimanlab.org/current-projects/. Second, "the postdoctoral associate will play a role in the development of a new research lab which just started in January 2019. Based on applicant interest and experience, this will involve providing mentorship and co-supervision to graduate students and research assistants, as well as general lab management duties. Third, the postdoctoral associate will have the opportunity to develop their own line of research. Postdoctoral associates will have access to data from ongoing and completed projects that use real-time monitoring to study suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
