This management position is directly responsible for expanding the scope and depth of CLiME's housing research, a specialty area
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
- Demonstrates significant leadership experience with all matters of housing policy research, including quantitative modeling and multimodal analysis
- Co/authors multiple papers each year
- Oversees and designs multiple research projects
- Coordinates collaborations with other scholars and entities
- Supervises multiple student and senior fellows

Work Arrangement |
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a Ph.D, preferably in urban planning, public policy, economics, or a related discipline or combination of education and experience. Applicants with JDs plus masters-level completion in the above fields and/or recognized certificates in housing policy are also welcome.
- Requires at least three years of relevant experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Housing policy experience is a must, preferably with knowledge about housing finance
- Must demonstrate ability to write extremely well, design and implement complex original housing-related research, using sophisticated quantitative tools, GIS and data visualization
- Must be published authors, with strong editorial skills.
- Past supervisory experience is key
