Job Title: Cold Fusion Developer

Position Overview: As a Cold Fusion developer, you will develop and maintain software systems based on ColdFusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance, maintain, and administer a portfolio of applications based on ColdFusion technology.
  • Apply required updates and security patches as mandated for the application software and security recommendations.
  • Perform code reviews and provide feedback to other developers to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Coldfusion development, and make recommendations for improvements to existing processes and workflows.
  • Participate in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Translate use case requirements, technical specifications, and design into code.
  • Develop estimates for design and implementation level of effort.
  • Have experience working with Akamai CDN
  • Follow software development methodology and architecture standards.
  • Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues/defects; participate in other meetings, such as those for use case creation.
  • Formally document issues/defects and support issue/defect resolution until closure.
  • Perform peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Conduct manual and automated unit testing.
  • Develop strong understanding of system requirements and application support needs.
  • Provide application administration and user support.

Required Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 6+ years of experience developing with ColdFusion.
  • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and XML.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management methodologies and tools, including SVN.
  • Well-organized with proven success in managing assignments to timely completion.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Successful candidates must be a USC/GC/EAD holder and be able to successfully complete a Public Trust background check.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Java, .NET, C#, Oracle Forms and/or Oracle Reports development is a plus.
  • Experience with Section 508 compliance.
  • Agile training or certifications, such as Certified Scrum Master.
