The Professional Science Master's Program (
PSM) invites applications for part time instructors for the Fall 2024 term. We seek qualified instructors who can contribute to the university's educational mission and bridge the gap between the classroom and the industry.
Successful candidates will instruct/co-instruct on a wide variety of topics. Applicant's core knowledge should include, but is not limited to, any concentration under agriculture, biotechnology, environmental science, food science, kinesiology and physiology, life sciences (chemistry, biology, physics, etc.), engineering (i.e., biomedical, biochemical, chemical, electrical, computer, pharmaceutical, etc.), pharmacology, computer and information science (i.e., statistics and biostatistics, discovery informatics and data science, applied computing, information technology, networking, etc.), and business (i.e., accounting, finance, leadership, marketing, etc.)
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Instructing/co-instructing course(s) at the graduate level (may include traditional lecture, hybrid, and/or fully online courses)
- Prepare course materials (i.e., syllabi, presentations, hand-outs, reading materials, etc.)
- Provide constructive feedback to students as well as critical instruction regarding student work and academic standards
- Respond to student emails and inquiries
- Adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines
- Adhere to university policies and regulations
- Practice innovative educational methodology

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
Master's degree in a related field and/or relevant industry experience is required; doctorate degrees are preferred. Must demonstrate ability to teach at the graduate level; prior teaching experience is preferred. |

The Master of Business & Science degree (
MBS) is a degree combining the science curriculum from a traditional science master's degree with a specialized set of business+ courses - including business, policy, and law. Our program prepares students with the necessary business acumen, entrepreneurial skills, and know-how to translate scientific and technological ideas into profitable products and services. |

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
