Posting Summary	Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the Biostatistics and Epidemiology department within the School of Public Health. The Student Assisant will assist with implementation of the Firefighter Cancer Assessment & Prevention Study ( CAPS), and will be responsible for data collection, database management, cleaning, and analysis. This position will also assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts related to study findings. Duties include: Assist with ongoing data collection (both quantitative and qualitative) and coordination for CAPS. Attend weekly research team meetings. Assist with data cleaning and database management. Help facilitate study activities in the field. Review selected literature relevant to study activities. Prepare summaries and reports.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Must be a current Rutgers student. Currently enrolled as a graduate student at Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH) Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and statistical computing software (SAS). Strong communication and analytical skills. Must possess ability to pay close attention to detail and collaborate with research team.
Preferred Qualifications	Successfully completed MPH graduate program, preferred.
