The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is searching for a full-time Generalist/Hospitalist position. Rank and salary commensurate with experience. Candidates who qualify and are interested in protected research time should consider applying. The applicant must have interest in teaching and supervising medical students and residents. Family Planning Specialists are welcomed to apply to the position. Laborist and nocturnist options can be considered for these roles, depending on the candidate and experience.
The position will serve both inpatients and outpatients seen in both public and community hospitals in Newark, NJ and surrounding community. The scope and breath of the applicant's clinical activities will promote professional interests while covering clinical needs. |

The mission of the Department includes teaching, research, clinical care and service to the institution, local environment, state and country. Our mission includes teaching Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health to medical students, residents, physicians. Our role is to advance knowledge in the field of clinical medicine as well as the basic science of pregnancy and reproduction through research. We provide clinical care to our local community and consultative care in our sub specialties to the State. We also provide leadership in our field, both locally and nationally |

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
