The Biology Department at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Camden Campus invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor faculty position in Biological Data Integration. We seek an outstanding individual with innovative and integrative research programs that would extend and complement existing faculty strengths in the Biology Department. We welcome candidates working on computational approaches to biological data analyses and integration of heterogenous datasets. We encourage those who take an interdisciplinary approach to computational animal biology to apply. Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant area of biology and postdoctoral experience with a strong publication record. The successful candidate is expected to develop a vibrant, independent and competitive research program to successfully secure external funding. The candidate should have a strong desire to integrate into campus-wide interdisciplinary research in the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology ( CCIB). The successful applicant is expected to contribute to the development and implementation of a new direction in Biological Data Analysis for undergraduate, MS and PhD students. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in his/her area of expertise, mentor graduate (MS, PhD) and undergraduate students, and be a contributing colleague by serving on department, program and campus committees.
