The Department of Statistics in the School of Arts and Sciences of New Brunswick is growing in student enrollments and new courses and program offerings. In addition to undergraduate statistics courses taught for the University for various majors in engineering, sciences, business and social sciences, the department offers courses focusing on probability, computing, and statistical research. Graduate level statistics courses also reflect the wide breadth of current interests and topics across numerous interdisciplinary fields. The department is further enhanced with two Professional Masters' degree programs in "Data Science" and "Financial Statistics and Risk Management".
The Department of Statistics in the School of Arts and Sciences seeks outstanding applicants for Part-Time Lecturer positions (
PTL) / Co-Adjutant positions for Statistics courses for the Spring 2023 semester. Instruction is for a full course, undergraduate or graduate level. In addition to classroom teaching, the successful candidate(s) will perform services associated with the course: prepare and submit syllabi, grade examinations and papers, provide timely student feedback, respond to students' emails, meet during assigned office hours and adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines. Most courses taught by PTLs/Coads are introductory courses and include TA and grader support. This position will report to the Department Chairperson.
The successful candidate(s) must have a Masters', preferably Ph.D. degree in Statistics or related field, and/or relevant industry experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite. Prior teaching experience at the college level or evidence of teaching effectiveness is expected.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
