The Rutgers School of Nursing invites applications for a faculty position that will be jointly appointed with Rutgers' Institute of Health (
IFH). Opportunity exists for protected time and support during the early years of hire. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with scholarly achievements including funded research and publication record, as well as other relevant professional experience.
Initial support for establishing a strong program of research will be provided with the expectation that the research program will be increasingly supported by extramural funds. This individual will become a valued faculty member of the Division of Nursing Science.
The position will be based primarily at the Rutgers Institute of Health, adjacent to the School of Nursing, in New Brunswick, NJ. We offer highly competitive salaries and benefits; start-up packages are available. Extensive research resources are available for health policy and health services oriented research including national Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance datasets,
EMR data, and the opportunity to collaborate with ongoing programs of health services research in areas including but not limited to behavioral health services research, treatment for substance use disorder, long-term care research, research on improving treatment and outcomes in large health systems, and impact of health policies on access, outcomes and equity of treatment. Opportunities are available to partner with major health systems in New Jersey to improve outcomes and build a learning health system.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the expertise and commitment to advance multidisciplinary and translational research focused on improving population health. We are seeking visionary, interdisciplinary scientists who will make solid contributions to the academic life of the School and the Institute for Health.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying.
