General Summary of Position Unit Highlights Nurses in the Cancer Infusion Center care for many medical oncology diagnoses while upholding the Commission on Cancer Standards We specializing in the administration of Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood Products and the management of Sickle Cell patients in Crisis. We welcome patients from a variety of medical and surgical specialties. This 27 bed unit is a great place to become an expert generalist, Certified Chemo nurse and a Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) as well as a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN). The staff and nurses in the Infusion Center are highly skilled, motivated, and committed to excellence. We strive to provide safe, quality care by maintaining a patient-centered approach and leveraging multi-disciplinary collaboration. The primary duties and responsibilities include assessment of physical and psychosocial needs, patient education assist with coordinator of care, triage patient care, monitor patient symptoms and side effects of treatment. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
