The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is seeking qualified candidates at the Assistant/Associate Professor level trained in Internal Medicine or in the combined specialty of Medicine-Pediatrics who are board eligible/certified in Medicine or Medicine-Pediatrics.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical and communication skills, a strong commitment to serving a multicultural diverse patient population and teaching/faculty experience with a passion for training students and residents, and a commitment to scholarship.
The Division of General Medicine is the largest Division in the Department of Medicine and is comprised of Primary Care, Med-Peds, Geriatrics, Preventive Medicine, Occupational Medicine, and Addiction Medicine, and is a major participant in the inpatient and outpatient education of students and residents. The faculty in the division drive a successful and broad agenda in quality improvement and engage deeply in population and primary care research and in community-based service.

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply.
