Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Function:

Operates assigned Single Spindle Automatic Screw Machines to perform secondary operation
of forming, drilling and tapping. Checks produced parts frequently to assure conformance
with prescribed specifications.

Work Performed:

1. Loads machines by inserting parts individually or placing in a Syntron hopper.
   Maintains a continuous check on machining operations. Inspect produced parts with
   precision measuring instruments to assure conformance with specifications called for
   in blueprints.
2. Maintains machine set ups under guidance of leadman or foreman. Replaces worn tools
   and grinds tools as required.
3. Notifies leadman or foreman when major machine repair or corrections are required.
   Puts required coolant in machine and keeps machine properly lubricated. Maintains
   machine and machine area in clean and orderly condition. Performs other duties as
   assigned.

Tools and Equipment Used:

Hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, micrometers, vernier calipers, screwdrivers and
simple depth, ring and groove gauges.
Equipment such as Automatic Single Spindle Machines and Grinders.

Pay Range: $22.07 - $32.54 Depending on experience.

Qualifications

Experience:
Be able to set up lathes.

Tools Required:

Tools such as 0-1", 1-2" micrometers, 6" calipers, depth micrometer, variety of box
and open end wrenches, crescent wrench, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches and machinist scale
