The Position

The primary responsibilities of the tenure-track Assistant Professor include teaching graduate SLP and undergraduate Communication Sciences academic courses, preferably in the areas of child language and special populations, although other areas of specialty will be considered, supervising clinical students, conducting research for scholarly publications, and providing professional service. Our CAA-accredited SLP master's program has both a traditional venue and a well-established distance education venue, with close to 200 students. Faculty teach undergraduate courses on the Denton campus and evening graduate courses either in Denton or Dallas. Distance SLP courses are transmitted via live videoconferencing technology to students across the state and can be taught from either campus or from the receiving locations.

Qualified applicants will hold an earned research doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related area; be ASHA-certified; and be licensed (or eligible to become licensed) as a speech-language pathologist in Texas.
