Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
The Bronco One Stop is a centralized space for students to access standard student services to strengthen their ability to navigate Fayetteville State University. Bronco One Stop aims to enhance the student experience with the application process, academic records, financial aid, making payments, speaking with an advisor to register for classes, gaining assistance with degree planning, receiving academic support, and navigating university resources.
Description of Work Continued:
Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Lead Student Success Coordinator will provide support and direction to student success and enrollment management areas to support students with unique challenges mitigating their academic and personal success. The manager will identify policies and procedures that are barriers to academic success and assist in creating and applying action plans for overcoming challenges. The Lead Student Success Coordinator helps the division support students in maximizing their potential by supporting and assisting team members in reviewing and updating course offerings, engaging with colleges, and updating technologies that support student success teams.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements:
Master's degree from an accredited institution with one year of related experience, or bachelor's degree with equivalent combination of experience in a higher education setting, preferably in academic advising, college access, counseling, student services, or student affairs.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

  • Ability to develop relationships and cultivate partnerships with faculty, staff, and campus partners.
  • Ability to be a team player and problem solver, follow complex directions, interpret data, and multitask.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with good judgment in decision-making.


Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field
One year's experience in retention programs.
Experience using an early alert/advising system powered by predictive analytics.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, at least five years of professional experience in a Registrar's Office, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, or Academic Services unit of higher education, and at least five years of supervisory experience.
