TITLE Public Scholarship Specialist JOB SUMMARY The Public Scholarship Specialist at TWU's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is responsible for promoting thought leadership within the TWU community. TWU's current QEP "Amplify Your Impact" focuses on graduate student thought leadership for the purpose of advancing community wellbeing through public-facing communication skill building. Collaborating both internally and externally, the manager will work towards enhancing the visibility of TWU community members by soliciting mainstream media publicity and supporting faculty and students in securing public outlets for their work. The Public Scholarship Manager will work closely with faculty and graduate students, guiding them to successful placements in print, broadcast, and digital media outlets. In addition, the role includes raising the profiles of faculty and students by advising on media appearances and online presence, including social media output. This is a full-time professional staff position with a three-year contract with possibility of renewal. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Director, Quality Enhancement Plan Supervises: May supervise Clerical Support Staff, Student Assistants, and Interns

EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in relevant area required. Master's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant area. REQUIREMENT Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position. This position is eligible for alternative work arrangements, including flexible schedules and/or telecommuting. Supervisors and employees should ensure that injury/accident reports are submitted to the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management within 24 hours of the incident. |
