Lab area: Chemistry - Plans, organizes and oversees all work in the laboratory section. Performs established clinical laboratory procedures and examinations in laboratory which require exercise of independent judgment. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patient. In addition, she/he must possess the ability to assess patient data relative to age specific needs and provide care as described in policies and procedures. Hours:Hours may vary as per operational needs, including weekend rotation. EDUCATION:BS in Medical Technology or related science preferred. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:A minimum of five years full-time experience as a Medical Technician/Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting. The ability, skills and training to provide and adequately meet the needs of patients, visitors or co-workers who may be of different ages, cultures or disabilities. LICENSING REQUIREMENT:NYSDOH Clinical Laboratory Technician/Technologist license required. RELOCATION: Relocation funds of up to $9,200 are available to qualified candidates.
