Description

The primary function of this position is to exercise a considerable degree of independence in conducting a wide range of experiments requiring expertise in the application and adaptation of numerous research techniques and procedures to produce desired results. Must be adept at gathering data, compiling, completing and synthesizing data for reports or segments of projects; operating and maintaining research equipment; and conducting aspects of experimental protocols under general supervision. May supervise lower level researchers or Graduate Students.

III. Research 100%
* Must work independently, will perform biomedical experiments in molecular and cellular investigations in areas of research defined by the PI. 50%
* Be knowledgeable of current literature on research topics and assist in the development and implementation of research directives and objectives. 20%
* Independently perform analyses, interpret results, and formulate conclusions for research projects in lab. 20 %
* Collaborate with the PI in the writing of manuscripts, grants, and presentations related to research outcomes. 10%

Qualifications

Researcher I:

BS/BA degree in appropriate field.

Researcher II - One of the following:

a. MS/MA degree in appropriate field or
b. BS/BA degree in appropriate field and at least 2 years work experience in a relevant field
