Genesis10 is currently seeking a Telephony Consultant/Business Analyst with our client in located in Austin, TX. This is a 6 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Conduct interviews and workshops with business stakeholders to understand and document telephony system needs Analyze current telephony systems and workflows to identify gaps and areas for improvement Develop comprehensive business requirements and functional specifications for a new telephony system Research and evaluate telephony solutions, including VoIP, Unified Communications (UC), and Contact Center solutions Develop a criteria matrix to assess potential solutions based on functionality, scalability, cost, and vendor support Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations Interface with business units, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives Facilitate communication between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and expectations Provide regular updates to project sponsors and stakeholders on project progress and any issues encountered Create detailed documentation for business requirements, system evaluations, and implementation plans Develop reports and presentations to summarize findings, recommendations, and project status Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant parties Assist in developing project plans and timelines for telephony system implementation Support the testing and validation of new systems to ensure they meet business requirements Requirements: 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Telephony Consultant, with a focus on telephony systems and technology Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Telecommunications Strong understanding of telephony systems, including VoIP, UC, and Contact Center solutions Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements for telephony systems Familiarity with system evaluation and selection processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in documentation tools and techniques (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Visio) Previous experience in implementing telephony systems Desired skills: Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), ITIL, or Project Management Professional (PMP) Familiarity with telephony system integration, cloud-based solutions, and emerging telephony technologies Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
