Apply now Date: Oct 4, 2024 Location: Company: The RF Technology Group develops and demonstrates innovative radio-frequency (RF) technologies and integrated subsystems as solutions to emerging national security needs in radar, electronic warfare, signals intelligence (SIGINT), and special communications. To execute its RF research and development mission, the group develops and tests novel RF solutions at the device and semiconductor level up through the full RF subsystem level, with an emphasis on highly integrated, small-form-factor RF subsystems. The group collaboratively interacts with research groups across the Laboratory to take projects from initial concept stage, through simulation and analysis, to design and prototyping, and finally to field demonstration. Job Description
The RF Technology group seeks a full-time phased array development and characterization engineer to further the development of antenna arrays for next generation RF systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for measurement and calibration of advanced antenna arrays utilizing the MIT Lincoln Laboratory RF System Test Facility. The position includes defining and implementing calibration procedures based around near-field measurements of both narrowband and wideband active arrays within a state-of-the-art test chamber. Additional opportunities within the development of active phased arrays, as well as opportunities to explore next generation calibration approaches as part of a small team will also be available to the successful candidate.
