The Rapid Prototyping Group is in the Engineering Division, focusing on partnering with Mission Area Groups across the Laboratory to execute a large variety of rapid prototyping programs, delivering new advanced technology capabilities in timelines typically under a year. Under the direction of Group Technical Staff, Co-Op interns with expertise in Aero/Mechanical engineering will work in diverse, interdisciplinary groups to design, fabricate, integrate and test novel sensor and payload systems for aircrafts and other platforms.

Under the direction of Group technical staff, Co-Op interns studying in the areas of Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical engineering fields will participate in the design, fabrication, testing and assembly of hardware components into the systems being delivered.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a program of study in engineering or physics (Mechanical, Aero/Astro, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical, Material Science, Civil Engineering or Physics preferred.)

GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher.

Some experience with SolidWorks CAD tool strongly preffered.

Completed at least through sophomore year of university.
