Debug Support Technician

Summary:

• Nearly 10% of the human population is infected with mosquito borne disease each year, resulting in massive mortality and enormous economic loss.
• We are combining cutting-edge biology with robotic automation to generate billions of sterile male mosquitoes that will be released into the wild to mate with females, causing a population crash that will ultimately break disease transmission cycles.
• As a Debug Support Technician, you will play an important role in the project's success.
• Specifically, you will work with a small team responsible for manufacturing custom mosquito shipping solutions, quality control of our current shipping solutions, and research and design support as needed for manufacturing and shipping male mosquitoes to support a new project.
• This position is a full-time, 1 year contract role based in South San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture Custom Shipping Solutions.
• Quality Control for our current packing and shipping protocols and SOPs.
• Process Packing and Shipping Returns.
• Maintain Packing and Shipping Inventory.
• Support R&D as needed.
• May be asked to participate in occasional meetings and/or present to project leadership.

Requirements:

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Must be able to work for extended periods of time in a high heat/humidity setting.
• Must be able to lift/move small and moderate-sized equipment repetitively up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to work 5-days/week in South San Francisco, including regular weekend and holiday work.
• Highly organized and able to pay meticulous attention to detail and stay consistent in repetitive tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external partners.
• Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with common platforms, especially Google Suite.
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.

Desired:

• Previous experience in biological sciences or pharmaceutical production setting Bachelor's degree or relevant education/training.

Pay rate range: $24.58 - $31.59 hourly.
