Overview of the Position

Social Solutions is seeking a Scientific Recruiter for the anticipated National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Professional, Scientific, and Technical Support Services (PSTSS) IDIQ. The PSTSS IDIQ will provide professional, scientific, and technical support services to support NIAID's current and emerging research priorities in Bethesda, Maryland. This position will be responsible for recruiting personnel qualified to support specialized scientific support related to basic, translational, and clinical research; vaccine research; general laboratory research at Biosafety Level 2, 3, and 4; veterinary and scientific research in Animal Biosafety Level 2, 3, and 4 environments; and bioinformatics and computational biology.

The Scientific Recruiter will lead and oversee full lifecycle recruitment processes for various national and international scientific roles in a dynamic recruitment environment. This position will be contingent upon award and is expected to be a full-time remote role with occasional travel to Bethesda, MD, US.



Responsibilities

    In collaboration with senior staff, develop and implement a full lifecycle recruitment process for sourcing and selecting diverse research and bioscience employees according to organizational policies.
  • Oversee the development of complete job descriptions to accurately reflect the requirements of the position and the skills and competencies needed. Institute quality control measures for review of job descriptions.
  • Oversee advertisement and posting of job descriptions to ensure broad dissemination in relevant locations to maximize the talent pool.
  • Proactively source, screen, interview, and place qualified candidates through traditional, social media, and other creative methods.
  • Build and maintain a vibrant network to ensure a continuous pipeline of top talent through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management.
  • Manage efficient systems to screen, interview, and conduct reference and other checks on potential candidates.
  • Oversee documentation processes ensuring that all legal and organizational requirements are met.
  • Coordinate the preparation of employment offers to qualified candidates.
  • Ensure adherence to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) and gender policy standards and initiatives throughout the entirety of the hiring process.
  • Enter all required candidates, recruiting activity, and reporting information into the applicant tracking system (ATS) while adhering to the guidelines and regulations of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, human resources, management, biomedical, health, research science, or a closely related field.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in sourcing and recruiting diverse health sciences and scientific professionals with backgrounds in research, biology, and laboratory sciences in infectious and chronic disease research.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying DEIA practices within recruitment.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and executing strategic recruitment strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • NIH experience preferred.

The expected salary range for this position is between $110k-150k.
