The organization has four acute care hospitals and two specialty hospitals that together house 1,812 hospital beds.

Position Information:

Lee Physician Group Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician for inpatient patient admissions, management and consultations in our acute care facilities with the primary campus in the heart of Fort Myers, Florida. 20 Hours per month allocated to director and administrative responsibilities to include but not limited to evaluating and reviewing admission criteria, oversight of the admission/intake team, regulatory compliance, policy and procedure review, staffing evaluation and community networking.

The ideal candidate has experience working in an inpatient rehab hospital and an entrepreneurial spirit with strategic thinking to help us continue to grow and meet the needs of our community.

--Schedule: Monday Friday with 1/3 weekends (average 5-10 admissions on weekends)

--Average 15-18 patients per day

--Afterhours call: manage own patients; attending physician takes first call. Nocturnist is available to assist. Critical care outreach RN can perform beside evaluation.

--Physicians are responsible for admissions, consults and discharge
