What you'll do:

SUMMARY:
The
Production Utility position is responsible to assist with various tasks
throughout different areas to support production assembly line work associated
with company's various product lines including, but not limited to, emergency
response bodies and chassis, motorhome chassis, specialty vehicles, and Isuzu
N-Gas. This includes all positions within the assembly, sub-assembly, and
component build work centers.

JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*
Relieving production positions, perform various job assignments that may change
daily, operating various light and heavy industrial machinery
*
Maintaining safe work areas, cleaning industrial equipment and workstations
*
Keep immediate supervisor informed when and if additional help is needed to
perform responsibilities
*
Always follow all safety rules and report any safety hazard to immediate
supervisor
*
Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete assembly in various
assigned areas
*
Apply feedback or instructions from Supervisor and/or Team Lead, as needed
*
Complete proper forms and documentation (example: defective tags, build book,
etc.)
*
Understand, and be able to articulate, the production flow of an assigned
product line or area
*
Self-check work and inspect prior processes
*
Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required
*
Meet production goals
*
Initiate process improvements
*
Support 5S in work area
*
Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering,
materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issues
*
Solve problems with minimal assistance

What you need to be successful:

QUALIFICATIONS:
*
HS Diploma or GED required
*
A minimum of 12 months manufacturing experience preferred
*
Excellent attendance
*
Positive attitude
*
Strong and consistent attention to detail
*
Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
*
Team oriented
*
Capable of comprehensive listening (understanding the message(s) that is being
communicated)
* Ability to use air and electric powered tools such
as drills, hammer drills, torque wrenches (powered and unpowered), air tools
(such as rivet guns, air drills, air hammers) and huck guns
* Ability to use ladders, enter and exit trucks,
reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, working below knees or above shoulders
*
Basic computer skills are required
*
Willing to:
o
Learn and rotate within all areas and plants (production or materials)
o
Improve self / area / company (including pursuing additional training, if
needed)
o
Develop a working knowledge of company's systems (example: AS/400)
*
Able to:
o
Lift 50 pounds
o
Work overtime on short notice
o
Embrace change
