The Conservatory is comprised of four divisions: Music Studies, Music Performance, Dance, and Theatre. Adjunct faculty teaching in the Conservatory are responsible for teaching regular courses or applied lessons as assigned by the Division Chairperson. Job Description
UMKC Conservatory is continuously seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty teaching positions. THE INTENT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO IDENTIFY A POOL OF ADJUNCT FACULTY WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO DELIVER UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE LEVEL COURSES AND INSTRUCTION IN ALL DEPARTMENTS OF THE CONSERVATORY. Qualifications
Degree or appropriate, significant experience / training relevant to the level of class and content area being taught Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Conservatory's mission and values Familiarity with teaching applied lessons or classroom lectures Demonstrated highly successful experience teaching in their area of specialization. This may include higher degrees or other experience equivalent to that. May also entail specific certifications. An official copy of transcripts(s), showing degree(s) with courses completed, and conferring institution will be required before an official offer is made to the candidate. Anticipated Hiring Range
