UNIVERSITY of MISSOURI-KANSAS CITY School of Dentistry Pediatric Dentistry Our program is the only public dental school in Missouri. Our alumni account for roughly half of all practicing dentists in Missouri. But our reach goes further, we also provide a critical education outlet for Kansas and several other states without a dental school. UMKC is the only institution in Missouri offering advanced education residency programs in General Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and Endodontics. The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry is seeking to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Position will be filled as a ranked non-tenure track position commensurate with applicant qualifications. Specific responsibilities include pre-doctoral classroom and clinical supervision of DDS students in the field of pediatric dentistry. The UMKC School of Dentistry is committed to educating the next generation of healthcare individuals from all walks of life. The UMKC School of Dentistry sponsors and partners with other organizations to host several unique programs to provide opportunities for minority and economically disadvantaged students who may be interested in the field of dentistry. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications * DDS/DMD or equivalent. * Applicants must be eligible for and obtain the appropriate Missouri Dental License prior to starting their employment. For more information about licensing, see https://pr.mo.gov/. * Qualified candidates should have training and previous experience in Pediatric Dentistry and a demonstrated commitment to teaching, clinical dentistry, and service. Preferred Qualifications * A certificate of advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry from a CODA-accredited institution is preferred, however general dentists who have an interest and experience in treating pediatric patients may also be considered.
