School of Medicine, University of Missouri-Kansas City - Emergency Medicine Job Description
This continuous listing is open to Missouri-licensed emergency medical services providers and certified American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructors teaching in the EMS Education program at the School of Medicine. 1. Assisting with set up of assigned skill lab stations. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS Qualifications
Education Experience Minimum of two years of active clinical experience in an EMS service, hospital emergency department, or critical care area. EMS experience must be at the level of lab instruction -and/or- Current enrollment in a Graduate Medical Education program in Emergency Medicine. Licenses, certifications and/or registrations 1. Must be Missouri-licensed EMT, Paramedic, Registered Nurse, APRN, PA, or Physician. Must possess instructor qualification for any specialty course in which the instructor is providing service. Lead EMS Instructor: Missouri Paramedic license and meets statutory requirements for Lead EMS Instructor according to 19 CSR 30-40.331; Nationally-certified Paramedic. Preferred Qualifications Licenses, certifications and/or registrations PALS, EPIC, ENPC Provider - preferred (for ALS programs) ITLS, PHTLS, TNCC, ATCN, ATLS Provider - preferred (for ALS programs) DOT EMS Instructor or equivalent (NAEMSE Level I) desirable. The UMKC School of Medicine opened in 1971 as the result of over a decade of community efforts to establish a medical school in Kansas City, Missouri.
