Under the supervision of the Supervisor and or Qualified Supervising Provider, provides direct behavioral services to patients in the autism program; monitors treatment plan implementation by observing autism techs during in-home sessions. Participates on the treatment team and carries out services as described on the treatment plan. This role includes the following duties and actively supports the mission statement of Mercyhealth Behavioral Health. May include weekends, day, evening, and or on-call hours.Must complete 40 hours of specified orientation on autism and application of techniques, and attest to 2,000 hours of documented training and supervised experience delivering a Wisconsin-approved treatment model. Culture of Excellence Behavior Expectations To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following behavior expectations: Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree related to behavioral health or child and family services or is a student within 6 months of graduation. Certification and Licensure Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days Special Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell. Employee must be able to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, run, climb, and navigate across various terrains (tile, gravel, carpet, playground mulch, grass, steps, etc.). Must be able to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Manual dexterity to operate telephone, lock, manipulate flashcards, turn pages, and keyboard is also needed. Must be able to complete job duties in various environments with multiple distractions Level of Supervision Requires a high level of independent judgment. The position has the potential for substantial latitude and independent action. Directly supervises staff in designated program areas and locations, as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises This job will directly supervise technician-level staff under the direction of the program supervisor or Manager and Qualified Supervising Provider. |
