Description

SUMMARY

This position manages the Cavity Free at Three (CF@T) program's administrative and operational duties and carries a caseload of 6 CF@T work adjustment trainees (WATs) or situational assessments (SAs) to individuals with significant barriers to employment (i.e., people with disabilities, justice involved, experiencing poverty, and/or homelessness). The position collaborates closely with DVR Counselors and Workforce Development team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Administrative and Operational:




  • Under the supervision of the Program Manager, manage the CF@T program.





  • Supervise, train and collaborate with the CF@T Site Supervisor.





  • Track all Ordering of Supplies and Customer requests for orders. Create invoices and submit check requests and/or check requests to the accounting department. Track and report on CF@T income, expense and budget activities.





  • Oversee customer care and prospective customer calls, tracking revenue generated resulting from calls.





  • Work with Program Manager in building additional revenue generating relationships and projects for the CF@T program.





  • Update CF@T Program procedures and practice manual as needed.





  • Update, Edit and Submit monthly list of WAT openings to all DVR email contacts. Work with department teammates to update group email list as needed.





  • Requires occasional deliveries of CF@T supplies. May use company vehicle or submit for mileage reimbursement if using own vehicle.




Participant Related: :




  • Apply assessment criteria needed to determine employability.





  • Fill in for the Site Supervisor as needed (vacations, sick time, as needed)





  • Establish and maintain rapport with all participants.





  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with CF@T customers, DVR, teammates and community partners.





  • Complete all documentation and data entry as necessary daily.





  • Attend applicable staff and community meetings.





  • Coach participants discussing disabilities, necessary accommodations, and previous justice involvement.





  • Provide ongoing guidance, advice, and employment related assistance to participants.





  • Conduct intake assessment identifying needs, goals, and responsibilities of participant and program staff.





  • Complete timely and accurate collection of data across multiple databases including intake and maintenance.





  • Provide monthly reports to Program Manager and Accounting.





  • Other duties as assigned.





Qualifications

SKILLS




  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), grammar, and reasoning skills.





  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 and its various programs.





  • Understanding of the challenges and barriers faced when experiencing poverty, mental and/or physical disabilities and/or other barriers, regarding how trauma can impact the employment process.





  • Ability to function positively in a demanding work environment, to demonstrate high flexibility, to respond to priorities and schedules that change frequently.





  • Commitment to the potential of people to live a sustainable and fulfilling life regardless of their current situation or perceived limitations.





  • Personal commitment to working within an integrated services model with emphasis on employment as a key component to ending poverty and homelessness.





  • Ability to lift 15 lbs.





  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information without breach.





  • Crisis intervention skills supporting individuals with mental, physical, or other disabilities.





  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment while managing projects independently.





SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises the Cavity Free at Three Site Supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma/GED with 2 years' experience in career development counseling and/or training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS




  • Valid driver's license with the ability to pass Bayaud's motor vehicle carrier's insurance requirements.





  • Pass background check for working with vulnerable populations.





LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, interpret, and synthesize documents such as federal regulations, medical and psychological records, and data reports to create a compelling case via a written summary report in support of a disability claim. Ability to write other detailed reports and professional correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with participants, community partners and federal and state stakeholders. Bilingual (Spanish) may qualify for an increased salary offer.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area. Ability to develop a participant budget, calculate dates/times and track income changes.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment will be a temperature-controlled office environment.

ALTERNATIVE WORK PLAN

This position is not eligible for an "Alternative Work Plan." All duties must be performed in the office or in the community with participants. Special projects will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

TRAVEL

Occasional travel within the Denver Metro area. Will drive company vehicle for these purposes. If a personal vehicle is used for work travel, this driver will be reimbursed at the federal rate for mileage.
