Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is a working leader that will report directly to the Maintenance Facilities Manager at the Highland Quartz Plant. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible to direct and lead the activities of the maintenance department. The maintenance department is directly responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance of all manufacturing, subsystems, and facility equipment. This position provides the leadership and vision to develop a world-class manufacturing environment that is safe, efficient, and focused on continuous improvement initiatives. The Supervisor will build and maintain vendor relationships that leverages cost savings and mitigate any unplanned downtime on key equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established health and safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean, organized work area, wearing, and properly storing all personal protective equipment (PPE), and actively engaging as a safety conscious worker with personal safety and wellness as a priority

  • Equipment reliability

  • Unplanned down time reduction

  • PM schedule compliance

  • Annual shutdown maintenance planning

  • Electrician/Multi-craft technician development

  • 5S/work area organization

  • Safety stock (Critical Spare) Inventory

  • Ensuring team has proper tools/equipment to perform all required tasks

  • Purchase Order processing

  • Vendor management

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years' experience as a Leader or Supervisor in a Maintenance leadership role in an industrial manufacturing environment

  • Proven experience as a proficient multi-craft maintenance technician

  • Ability to provide hands-on support to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the processes related to the production, supporting subsystems/equipment, and the facility equipment for high voltage industrial processes.

  • Mechanical and Electrical aptitude; able to understand machinery, decipher blueprints

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, coach, train and mentor others

  • Possess the ability to lead by example through following plant elements of culture, ethics and integrity, eagerness, and effectiveness

  • Must be able to schedule and accomplish desired results in an effective and timely manner.

  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing Momentive Technologies Safety policies and procedures

  • Must have the ability to listen and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent time management

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Detailed-oriented with good organization skills

  • Self- motivator and driven by the desire to succeed

  • Experience in effectively utilizing ERP and CMMS systems

  • Flexibility and willingness to work various shifts as and when needed

  • Partners with Operations / Continuous Improvement group to assist in building the foundation for OEE assessment capabilities at the site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree (Preferred in an Engineering field) or 7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

  • Proficient with the ability to appraise and evaluate the work performance of maintenance staff

  • Proficient in electro-mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics

  • Proficient to interpret schematics and drawings and a working knowledge of PLC controllers and process instrumentation

  • Sector Continuous Improvement Leader

  • Functional Leaders including Technology, Continuous Improvement and Commercial Organization

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 5%

Our Maintenance Supervisor will earn a variable compensation including base salary and bonus. Base salary range takes into consideration experience, education, and training. Not to mention all the amazing benefits available for employee selection as well.
