Position: Project Controls Specialist
Location: Oak Ridge, TN (on-site)
Salary Range: $90k-$125k

Overview:

The Project Management Office (PMO) seeks a Project Controls Specialist to contribute to project controls efforts on construction projects. This is an on-site position at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Responsibilities:



  • Work with project managers to establish budgets and schedules for projects.
  • Track monthly progress, including updating Primavera schedule, generation of cost/schedule reports and charts, variance analysis reports, ad-hoc reporting as required
  • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders to ensure teams are informed about project milestones, spending, and upcoming schedule issues and impacts.


Qualifications Required:



  • BS/BA in project management, business, engineering or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of applicable Primavera (P6) experience.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of working independently on complex tasks in support of team members.
  • Possess advanced competence in Microsoft applications


Qualifications Desired:



  • A BS/BA degree with a minimum of two years relevant cost/schedule control experience.
  • Competent in Oracle Primavera, MS Excel
  • Strong communications skills


Federal Government Clearance:

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment and may require subsequent reinvestigations may be required
