Position Summary |
The Windows Systems Analyst will perform the technical installation, modification, and administration of specialized and moderately complex centralized Windows Systems software. This position will independently monitor and fine-tune systems software, debug and resolve technical problems, and assist in planning and project management for new releases of core services. The employee in this position shall also make recommendations for enhancements or changes to improve system performance, provide advice and counsel to peers within their area of expertise, and consult with other administrators and analysts to forecast growth within the environment. This position will also serve as a backup role to the VMware and Storage administrator. This position will also be responsible for the administration of our access control system. |

Required Education/Experience/Skills |
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution; and one year of experience in operations analysis and design systems programming or closely related area; or
- Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology or Networking Technology from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming or closely related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills |
Prefer candidates with 3-5 years of experience in Windows server and application management.
Experience with Windows Systems Administration (Active Directory, Group Policy,
SQL,
DNS,
DHCP), and using a command line interface in multiple operating system environments. Experience with cloud-based IT applications, security applications, and general IT application management.
Experience with storage platforms and backup applications. VMWare administration, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. Knowledge of enterprise print applications and services a plus.
Experience working in a higher education environment. |

Ability to engage and integrate new technology in an academic and enterprise setting.
Ability to work with diverse constituencies of various technical abilities.
Ability to work as directed with minimal supervision. |
