Tyler Technologies Corporate Cloud Services team is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer who will help us mature our internal developer platform. As a DevOps engineer, you will work on an agile team with developers and other DevOps engineers. You will work closely with Cloud Engineers, and various operations teams in support of building and maintaining cloud infrastructure. Each member of the team brings unique technical skills and strives to cross train to gain additional technical knowledge across multiple disciplines in an exciting and dynamic work environment. You should have expertise in at least one area of maintaining an internal developer platform, whether it be building and testing infrastructure code, building CI/CD pipelines, or building and improving observability at scale.

  • C# for most non-Lambda services and applications
  • PowerShell for automation scripting
  • Puppet or Ansible for 2nd Day operations
  • vRealize Orchestrator for VMWare automation

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the enterprise systems architecture. Ensure adherence to standards and polices for platform technology components, and integration between related system, application, and infrastructure architectures
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain integrated, standardized platform solutions and services for the company
  • Create, automate, and support infrastructure builds and deployments
  • Create, automate, and support software builds and deployments
  • Work with teams to architect, develop, and implement innovative software solutions related to the DevOps and Agile transformation of the enterprise
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the existing CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with and provide architectural, design, and engineering direction to other teams such as Application Development, Network Engineering, Business Continuity, and Operations
  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.
  • 4+ years of experience developing with programming languages such as Python, C#, PowerShell. Bash, JavaScript also a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a CI/CD patterns and tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
  • Excellent understanding of AWS and/or VMware vCenter
  • Experience with automation and cloud provisioning tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Formation
  • Familiarity with AWS Services, including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, RDS, S3, EKS, ECR, SNS
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check which may include fingerprinting
  • You should feel comfortable on the command line, whether it be in Linux or Windows with PowerShell, and have a history with software development, microservice architectures, and/or CI/CD.
