General Responsibilities |
Bring your academic, industry, and personal experience to Howard Community College as a part-time adjunct faculty in adult Continuing Education in the areas Personal Enrichment and 60+ courses. The need for part-time instructors is anticipated to continue to rise and the division is recruiting qualified applicants with a variety of skills and proven teaching ability for the following categories of classes:
Art and Photography - Studio, Conservation, History, Artists Baltimore, Maryland, and Howard County - History, Writers, Museums, Travel, Gardens, Site visits Crafts - Sewing, Knitting, Embroidery, Crochet, Stained Glass Entertainment - Plays, Broadway, Films Personal Finance - Investing, Budgeting, Wealth Management Games - Bridge, Chess, Role Play, Mah Jongg History and Culture - United States, Different countries and time periods, Genealogy, Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology Life Skills - Downsizing and Organizing, Decorating, Cooking, Computer Skills, Travel Planning Literature and Writing - Novels, Short Stories, Classics, Historical, Writers, Mythology, Books to Movies, Communications, Journalism Music -
Instrumental - piano, percussion, strings, winds, brass Vocal - choir, opera- Composition

Private lessons - all instrumental and vocal categories, individual and group
