| General Responsibilities |
The Job Coach is one member of a three-person team of instructors in the Life Skills Employment and Education Program (
LEEP) at the Howard County Detention Center. The Job Coach works with students to prepare for re-entry and gainful employment. |
| Work Performed |
The qualified job coach will:
- Coach students to identify the job-related, adaptive, and transferrable skills they possess;
- Assist students in preparing a professional Resume and Cover Letter while building their digital literacy;
- Prepare students in all aspects of a job interview, culminating in a mock interview; and
- Provide students with realistic ways to handle difficult questions relating to their incarceration in the most neutral way.
