ROLE OVERVIEW

• A Maintenance Electrical Technician supports maintenance of all machinery and equipment in the facility.The hours of this position are Monday - Friday from 6:30am-2:30pm, with occasional adjustments due to projects or facility needs

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

• Responsible for following all plant and department specific safety rules, procedures, and programs. Wearing all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task specific requirements.
• Responsible for reporting all injuries, near misses and property damage incidents to the Supervisor prior to the end of the shift on the day of the incident.
• Provides daily maintenance for the plant, performs electrical and preventive (PM) maintenance functions.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Repair circuit boards, pumps, blowers, drives, heaters, dies, gearboxes, and PLC's.
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble production machinery.
• Comply with all 5S andCI initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work).
• Develop and administer controls related training for the maintenance technicians
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

WHAT WE VALUE

• Safety Background/Understanding - Understanding of OSHA requirements, developing a good safety culture, and implementing safety improvements
• Interpersonal skills - maintaining a good relationship with the dairy host, the community, and employees will be essential to success.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• In depth knowledge and/or formal education of electronic/electrical systems, PLC's, VFD, Servo Drives and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley software including RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000 and others.
• Knowledge of PC communication such as Ethernet and serial communications
• Have prior knowledge of pressure, level and flow transmitters and a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Trained in electrical safety - arc flash, LOTO
• Ability to use a computerized work order system (SAP a plus)
• Time management and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
• Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Familiarity with computer aided drawing software.
• Ability to use various hand tools, multi-meters, computers and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work in a team environment.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in repair and troubleshooting of AC/DC drives, MCC, VFDs.
• 5 years' experience in electrical maintenance of plant production machinery and support systems preferred
• Physical requirements: Adapt to varying weather and temperature conditions when required, Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, Ability to stand and walk for majority of the 8 hour shift, Ability to push/pull 20-50 lbs., Frequent reaching and bending, Continuous standing and walking on concrete floors, Frequent use of hands and wrists, and Ability to climb stairs and work in high places
