Instructional Designer, Training Programs

As the Instructional Designer, you will design visual tools for end-users as a resource for learning & development support. You will support our LMS (Workday/Evolve) and support retention of accurate training records for company locations. You will work with the teams across all Aerospace manufacturing sites to create content that supports our workforce. This is a remote position. You will report to the Learning and Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Support training goals of Aerospace Learning, company sites, and employees.

• Support building content and standardization of the 4 phases: onboarding, skills lab training, qualification to the job, and cross training.

• Support Program creation and creation using visual work instructions and video-based content.

• Create Quick Reference Guides (QRG) Create informative guides to streamline employees workflow.

• Support building training content for LMS, and schedule recurrent trainings using various formats such as online learning, in person classroom instruction and learning manuals

• Understand the important relationships of data managed within the LMS such as the job title to the training and how that translates to the employee and the training experience (on-line, classroom, on-the-job).

• Define how individual components fit together to create the desired outcome such as understanding the gap of learning content and what tools need developed, and what the return will be for the business.

• Support site audit process

• Special Projects as assigned

Qualifications

• 2 or 4 year degree Graphic Design or Business or related

• Instructional design skills should include knowledge of course authoring tools (Camtasia, Captivate, Vyond, Articulate)

• Excellent project management skills and skills for solving problems.

• Must be US Citizen

• Ability to travel up to 25%
