Shipping and Warehouse Supervisor

As a Shipping and Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead the team to safely receive and ship product on time per the open order schedule and in accordance with all transportation of dangerous good regulations. You are accountable to manage all aspects of shipping, receiving, warehouse, and material handling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage receiving operations, shipping operations and warehouse activities.
• Manage staff working within a 1 shift operation.
• Be familiar with all shipping/receiving procedures relating to this area of responsibility.
• Direct activities and set expectations within the Warehouse, such as: improving daily shipping/receiving efficiency, taking corrective action to close operational performance gaps, and initiating continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify issues and takes action to call out issues that will alter customer shipments and resolve escalated problems.
• Understand daily shipping requirements to support activities that maintain a 98%+ inventory accuracy and 95%+ order management, shipped on time and in full.
• Support employee engagement, team development, maintain high safety standards and housekeeping standards.
• Facilitate implementation of 5S and other lean initiatives
• Lead inventory control activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related degree, with at least 5 years' experience in warehouse/shipping/logistics/supply chain, plus 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with (or capable of learning to master) Navision inventory tracking software and transaction troubleshooting.
