Job Description
The Employee Relations Business Partner interacts with other Human Resource (HR) Partners, business leaders, managers and employees to provide advice, guidance and coaching on policy and employment practices to ensure workplace concerns are resolved fairly and consistently. Uses their expertise to consult with and advise others on successful resolution of performance and conduct issues, employee concerns, labor relations, and unique situations within the workplace. Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related area.
  • Seven to ten years progressive HR experience. Experience should include the following: organizational development, extensive conflict resolution skills, complex employee relations, training and development and facilitation skills. Must be able provide solid examples of experience above.
  • Extensive employee relations and labor relations experience as demonstrated in general HR policies, programs, methods, practices and procedures.
  • Solid knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding employment and OSHA, EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA etc.
  • Knowledge of current principles, practices and trends in leadership and management as they apply to employee and organizational development; educational, cultural, political, governmental and employee relations issues.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in an effective manner. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to all levels.
  • Ability to coach leaders at all levels of the organization to make good business decisions in alignment with corporate strategies.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively while working with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Ability to manage multiple business unit clients in multiple locations. Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and with little guidance to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree. HR Professional Certification.
  • Human Resources experience in a healthcare environment.
