Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager in Gilbert, Arizona


  • Assist the Hill Project Director/Manager in all aspects of required field and office construction engineering work
  • Manage and administer construction contracts
  • Manage preconstruction planning activities and meetings with all stakeholders
  • Review and comment on the Contractor's construction schedule(s) and work plan(s) in coordination with Hill's Scheduler's monthly review and report
  • Coordinate design-support-during construction
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of Federal 2 CFR 200 as required by ARP compliance
  • Review change order requests and provide opinion of merit; process approved schedule and budget changes
  • Coordinate review of RFI (requests for information) and organize response(s)
  • Conduct weekly Owner, Architect, Contractor (OAC), BIM Clash Detection meetings, and assist Project Manager with Town of Gilbert Meeting Leadership Meetings
  • Monitor Contractor's operations to ensure work is being performed in a safe manner
  • Generate daily inspection reports to document the work performed by the contractor
  • Conduct project team meetings
  • Coordinate agreements with and work of sub-consultants and services
  • Maintain on-going contact with the client Project Manager and Hill Project Director/Manager
  • Delegate clear and concise responsibilities to the CM/CI Assistant
  • Develop the Scope of Work (SOW) for upcoming projects
  • Coordinate work windows with the operating group and contractor to maximize productivity
  • Lead CM related proposals with support from junior staff
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of architecture, or construction management (Preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience, with preference for experience in construction of municipal and/or healthcare facilities
  • Must possess and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Must be familiar with the local contractor community
  • Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel software programs
  • Must be knowledgeable with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software
  • Must be proficient with Bluebeam Revu 21 software program.
  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced with the principles of effective communication and supervision
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • This is full time/onsite requirement, officed in PM/CM designated job site trailer
