Hill International is seeking a Debris Operations Manager in Orlando, FL. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the community following a disaster and contribute to the recovery efforts in the Central Florida area. Major cities include Daytona Beach, DeLand, Melbourne, Merritt Island, Ocala, Orlando, and Titusville.



  • Coordinating daily briefings, work progress, staffing, and other key items with the Department
  • Scheduling work for all team members and contractors on a daily basis
  • Monitoring recovery contractors progress and making/implementing recommendations to improve efficiency and speed up recovery work
  • Monitoring project budget, preparing reports and presentations to provide updates to Department
  • Assisting the Department with responding to public concerns and comments
  • Conducting safety inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with contracts by all subcontractors
  • Scheduling and running periodic meetings with field staff and contractors
  • Oversight of the documentation required for the FEMA reimbursement process and procedures
  • Monitor Contractors work activities and advise the Department Project Manager when all activities have been successfully completed


  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Must have the ability to work in the outside elements for long periods of time
  • Must be able to travel to various work locations within the recovery area
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Attend CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination
  • Must have experience with FEMA and FHWA disaster debris management coordination.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain:

    • ICS-800
