WVU-Lead Surgical Technologist IV - Surgical Services - 86960

POSITION SUMMARY: Serves as lead college surgical technician facilitating the provision of surgical technician services within the college service lines. Provides intraoperative care to patients by functioning as the scrub person assisting the surgical team during operative procedures. Serves as a scrub mentor to others performing the scrub role on service cases. Assists RN College Coordinator to standardize instrumentation and preference cards used within the service line. Assists with the care and monitoring of service equipment and supplies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology Program, or completion of summer surgical tech extern program.

-LCC-ST or TS-C certification required within 90 days of hire date.

-Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

-Four years of Surgical Technology experience in a tertiary setting.
