Dr Xiaolei Liu's group at the Lemole Center for Integrated Lymphatics Research at Temple University investigates the development and function of the lymphatics during development and disease using mouse models and in vitro culture system. The research team is particularly interested in understanding how the paracrine signals from lymphatic vessels regulate cardiac development and promote cardiac repair.

The Assistant Scientist, under direction of Dr. Liu, provides technical support by performing scientific experiments within the research lab. Handles experiments or small research projects requiring advanced knowledge and experience in a specific scientific area or discipline. Maintains records of
data, and may be involved in training graduate and medical students in research methods and procedures.

Responsibilities include:
Assist PI and lab members with basic bench work including but not limited to PCR, western blot and immunohistology; Maintain mouse colonies and lab ordering
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences and at least two years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
*Demonstrated research experience in molecular/cell biology, vascular biology, developmental biology, mouse models, or related fields
*Expertise in any of the following areas is valued: developmental biology, Cell biology, imaging, and mouse models.
*Ability to work under supervision and as part of a research team

This is a grant funded position.
