Job Description

Ingramis seeking Crew Boat Captainsfor our terminals inReserve, Burnside, and Darrow, Louisiana locations. In this position you will be responsible for performing various tasks for the safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally compliant operation of assigned vessel and area.

What you'll be doing:

  • Vessel engages in the operation and navigation of the boat to and from the shoreline when transporting crew, company personnel, VIP guests, outside vendors and contractors, supplies and materials
  • Transporting crew at the beginning and end of the shift he/she is assigned to service. He/she may also stop at various other work sites along the way to pick up or drop off crew on various vessels
  • Making additional runs when materials, equipment and supplies are ordered and being delivered, or when he/she is transporting company personnel, inspectors, and guests.
  • May encounter rough or rocking seas, or waves that are rolling towards the shore, which requires the Boat Captain need to be attentive and skilled to maintain the safety of the individuals he/she is transporting
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to respond quickly in an unexpected circumstance
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and acceptance of diversity
  • Strong communication skills with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to lift, pull or push miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts weighing up to50 lbs.

Candidates must:

  • Must have US Coast Guard100-tonLicense with FCC Radio Permit, TWIC, Valid DL. Radar certificate desired.
  • Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
  • Commitment to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screen
  • Ability to operate and maintain vessel navigation equipment and machinery
  • Ability to employ lifesaving procedures on a vessel such as firefighting, first aid, and use of life saving equipment

Schedule:

14/7

7 days / 7 nights / 7 off (12 hour shifts)

*Does not have live aboard option. Will be considered Dinner bucket
