Elwyn Adult Behavioral Health Services is hiring for an Occupational Therapist to assesses consumer physical development (e.g. gross motor, fine motor and sensory processing skills), and other developmental skills including, but not limited to, cognitive, social/emotional, adaptive/self-help, and behavior.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Use standardized assessments including, but not limited to, fine motor, gross motor, and sensory processing, and other related assessments addressing cognitive, social/emotional, adaptive/self-help, communication and speech/language assessments, hearing screenings, and behavior
  • Adhere to mandated compliance timelines for conducting evaluations and writing
  • Update file notes in electronic record in internal information management systems to ensure detailed documentation of contact, outreach, tasks completed related to the evaluation process, including but limited to, reminder calls about scheduled appointment, teacher-related calls and responses, and evaluation cancelations
  • Notify the appropriate staff member for No-Shows and reschedules
  • Perform other duties as assigned



EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters preferred
  • Registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), and licensed by the state of Rhode Island
  • One (1) year experience administering standardized assessment tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions
  • Must be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocols
  • Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
