Job responsibilities

Skyworks' marketing organization has an opening for technical marketing talent. In this role, you will be accountable for the global strategy, direction and financial performance of world class cellular RF products such as LNAs and integrated Power Amplifier Modules with Duplexers (LPAMiDs), LNAs and integrated Switch/Filter/LNA modules (LFEMs) and Mobile WIFI Front End Modules.

Your responsibilities will include:




  • Identifying market opportunities and creating customer requirements documents and product requirements documents for new product opportunities
  • Assist in setting roadmaps and business direction, be involved in customer / market development activities through a close working relationship with sales activities
  • Ensure that product justifications are well researched, justified and structured to gain maximum ROI for Skyworks and market penetration growth
  • Bringing your identified opportunities to life by leading cross-functional groups to translate customer needs into product specific requirements
  • Clearly communicating performance to the key metrics we are pursuing, noting gaps and opportunities, as well as actions to drive improvement
  • Developing strong relationships with key customers and industry technology partners, measured by their preference to work with Skyworks on future generation products
  • Demonstrating your expertise internally by providing direction and support for the sales team, with customer technical meetings, presentations, and business proposals
  • Enjoy utilizing your creativity when developing marketing collateral promoting products to field sales and customers: product flyers, sales presentations, and competitive analysis
  • Interfacing with the Supply Chain group and provide accurate forecast
  • Assist in setting roadmaps and business direction, be involved in customer / market development activities through a close working relationship with sales activities
  • Assist in Market segmentation and Opportunity Sizing: TAM/SAM/SOM modeling
  • Developing and implementing marketing launch plans that drive design wins and revenue growth!

Job requirements

Position requirements are important, but even more important is finding a passionate senior technical marketer who is able to bring results as described above!




  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field. MBA a plus.
  • 12+ years' related experience
  • 8+ years in semiconductor or wireless system product fields.
  • The successful, self-driven candidate will have a well-rounded background with demonstrated competencies in marketing and technical environments.
  • These experiences will also include:

    • Strong technical background with experience in Cellular System Design or application Preferred
    • Experience with RF Transceivers and RF Front-End components such as Power Amplifiers, LNAs and Filters a plus.
    • Strong sense of customer orientation and effectiveness
    • Strong communication theory background, and related industry knowledge.
    • Practical Applied Knowledge of product development, market research, and business development.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a broad understanding of business fundamentals and strong business acumen.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
    • Responsive, self-driven and directed, with strong sense of ownership.
    • Proficient in Powerpoint, Excel and Microsoft Office.
    • Willing to travel 25% of time

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$139,100 -$278,300 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock. These incentives and awards are based on individual and/or company performance.
