Registered Nurse - Med/Surg 7

Position Summary

Ahuja 7^th floor is a 36 bed medical/surgical unit. We specialize in the post op care of patients following orthopedic, colorectal, gyn, general surgery, ENT, neuro and vascular procedures. We work closely with Nurse practitioners, residents, orthopedic coordinators, and attending physicians/surgeons. Our patients range from 15 years old to 100+. The unit is staffed by a Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, RN's, LPN's, PCNA's, patient experience liaisons, and clerical Associates. We are DNV certified for our hip/knee and spine programs.

Common Diagnoses:

Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee replacement, Total Shoulder replacement, Spinal Laminectomy /fusions, Bowel resections, Colectomies, Thyroidectomies, Mastectomies, are a few of the more common surgeries we care for here on Ahuja 7. We also care for the emergent surgical needs such as fractures, appendicitis and cholecystitis.

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
