Join the dynamic team at Georgia-Pacific Packaging! We are currently seeking a talented Pricing Analyst to support our corrugated packaging division. In this role, you will be working closely with our sales teams, analyzing and processing quoting requests for both new and existing customers. You will manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process from start to finish, including submitting quotes in the preferred customer format. These bids can span multiple months and rounds. Additionally, Pricing Analysts develop Decision-Making Framework (DMF) models for leadership reviews and approvals. Each role supports opportunities within a specific region across our multiple facilities nationwide. This position offers excellent growth opportunities, with many former pricing team members advancing to roles across the broader GP/Koch organization.

Our Team

Based at the corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA, provides support to various operating locations across the United States. The Revenue and Pricing teams consist of diverse individuals passionate about analytics, financial business partnering, and lifelong learning. Each member contributes significantly with a transformation mindset, strong technical and critical thinking skills, and effective communication abilities for business partnering.

What You Will Do

  • Quote Management: Manage and process all requests for quotes within the configure-price-quote system (<48 hour goal) or by the RFP date.
    • Identify and correct data omissions and discrepancies by engaging with National Account Managers or Sales Reps.
    • Utilize pricing bands and Revenue Management tools to develop accurate quotes.
    • Analyze bids to assist the sales team in identifying profitable opportunities and the best-fit plants for production.
    • Create new item standard cost estimates and adjust pricing for current items when necessary due to specification changes or manufacturing process updates.
    • Develop and present business cases/DMFs for leadership review and approval.
    • Coordinate on complex bids and items with the Pricing Manager as needed.
  • Analytical Support: Provide analytical support for the Corrugated business and generate relevant reports.
    • Perform advanced commercial reviews, variance analysis, and key performance observations.
    • Make recommendations for profitability improvements.
  • Data Management: Capture win/loss data on quotes provided by gathering information from sales representatives and updating the system. Ensure CRM data is accurate regarding opportunity volume.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about category trends and manufacturing processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek and share knowledge, identify opportunities for improvement, challenge the status quo, and propose solutions.
  • Cultural Alignment: Promote and reinforce the Principled Based Management (PBM) culture by applying the company's Guiding Principles.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Educational or career experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail, capable of building working relationships and solving problems collaboratively.
  • Flexible and able to prioritize work in a dynamic environment, embracing change and improving processes.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with customers and internal stakeholders via various communication channels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365, particularly MS Excel, and a willingness to learn new systems and tools.
  • Ability to complete occasional travel to supported manufacturing sites, including overnight stays up to 10-15% of the time.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in Pricing, Analytics, or Finance with knowledge of financial statements and key drivers.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including understanding modeling assumptions, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Experience in the Packaging, Consumer Products, or Manufacturing industry.
